ENR-418-ESS 418kWh liquid-cooled battery energy storage system

The ENR-418-ESS is a high-voltage, liquid-cooled lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery energy storage system designed for commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. With a nominal energy capacity of 417.99kWh, it combines 314Ah prismatic LFP cells, active liquid cooling, layered fire protection, and flexible system integration in a compact enclosure.

Designed for energy storage system integrators, industrial facilities, and commercial energy projects, the ENR-418-ESS provides a modular battery platform for applications requiring reliable energy storage, flexible system architecture, and streamlined installation and maintenance.

High-Voltage LFP Battery Architecture

The ENR-418-ESS uses premium 314Ah prismatic lithium iron phosphate cells and provides 417.99kWh of nominal energy capacity per enclosure. Its eight battery modules are connected in series, with a nominal system voltage of 1,331.2V and an operating DC voltage range of 1,040–1,500V.

This high-voltage DC architecture supports integration with compatible power conversion systems (PCS). PCS selection must account for the battery’s full operating voltage range, current limits, protection requirements, and project-specific operating conditions.

Advanced Liquid Cooling

The integrated liquid-cooling system helps manage battery temperature during charging and discharging. The specified operating temperature range is -30°C to 55°C, with power derating above 45°C. This design supports deployment across a range of industrial and commercial environments, subject to the applicable thermal and installation requirements.

Layered Thermal Safety and Fire Suppression

The enclosure incorporates a segmented structural design intended to help isolate thermal events between neighboring battery units. Dual-level aerosol fire suppression at the battery-pack and cluster levels provides localized fire-control measures.

These features form part of the system’s safety architecture. Actual fire performance depends on the final design, validated test results, installation conditions, and applicable project-level fire protection requirements.

Flexible Centralized and String-Type Integration

The ENR-418-ESS is designed to support centralized and string-type parallel system architectures. This flexibility allows project designers to evaluate different PCS configurations according to system capacity, power requirements, site conditions, and grid-interconnection requirements.

CAN, RS485, and Ethernet interfaces support communication with compatible battery controls, PCS equipment, and supervisory systems. Final interoperability should be confirmed against the manufacturer’s approved equipment and communication compatibility list.

Intelligent Monitoring and Maintenance

The system’s communication architecture can support integration with remote monitoring and diagnostic platforms. When configured with a compatible EMS, communications gateway, and cloud service, operators can monitor available operating data, review alarms, and support remote diagnostics.

A streamlined internal cable layout is designed to simplify installation, inspection, and routine maintenance, helping reduce unnecessary on-site work.

Robust Enclosure for Global Deployment

The ENR-418-ESS features an enclosure measuring 1,300 × 1,350 × 2,350mm, with a total enclosure weight of up to 3,700kg. The specified protection rating is IP55, with NEMA 3R compatibility stated in the supplied specifications. A C5M high-marine-grade corrosion classification is also specified, subject to confirmation of the applicable test reports and coating system.

The system is designed for operation at altitudes up to 4,000m, with power derating above 2,000m. Temperature, altitude, corrosion exposure, and other site conditions should be evaluated during project engineering.

Typical Applications

The ENR-418-ESS can be integrated into commercial and industrial energy storage projects for applications such as:

  • Peak shaving and demand management
  • Time-of-use energy shifting
  • Solar PV and battery energy storage integration
  • Industrial energy management
  • Modular battery storage installations
  • Distributed energy storage projects

The ENR-418-ESS offers a high-voltage, liquid-cooled LFP battery platform for C&I energy storage integrators seeking flexible system architecture, layered safety design, and simplified operation and maintenance.

System configuration note: PCS, EMS, transformers, grid protection equipment, and other balance-of-system components are supplied separately unless explicitly included in the project scope. Actual system functions and performance depend on the final configuration.
